“In terms of this new French proposal, it will be acceptable for the North Macedonian politicians and (North Macedonian) representatives, because, from my point of view, it’s the only chance to make up for this whole process and to start the negotiation process. So, currently, it is fully in the hands of North Macedonian politicians,” stated the ambassador of the Czech Republic in Bulgaria, H.E. Lukáš Kautcký, in an exclusive interview for BGNES News Agency.

“I’m not able to predict the result of their negotiations, but I firmly hope that in the upcoming days and weeks, we will be able to say that this story was finished and a (absolutely) new story starts. That means the story of the gradual joining of North Macedonia in the European Union.”

“I fully understand that this question is on the table, but in terms of the position of the Czech presidency, it’s currently the topic which is not on the table. That means, in the beginning of this whole story, it was North Macedonia and Albania together, and our task, our desire, is to start the negotiation process with both of those countries, at the same moment,” Ambassador Kautsky added./BGNES
