Bulgaria marks 144th anniversary of Shipka Epopee

Today, at Shipka Peak in Stara Planina, celebrations on the occasion of the 144th anniversary of the Shipka Epopee take place. Bulgarian President and Commander-in-Chief of the Bulgarian Armed Forces Rumen Radev welcomes the National Military Guard.
A prayer in memory of the Bulgarian volunteers and foreign soldiers who died for the Liberation of Bulgaria will be served by the Bulgarian Orthodox Church./BGNES
