97% growth of foreign tourists on the Southern Black Sea coast compared to last year

The number of international tourists on the Southern Black Sea coast has increased by 97% compared to last year's summer season, according to data from the airport in Burgas.

Polish tourists have the largest share - 60% growth. Organised groups from the UK, on the other hand, made up for the absence of about 300 thousand holidaymakers from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, airport director Georgi Chipilski said. The tourist season this year will be extended until October 31, when the last charter flight is scheduled, he said. At the end of the summer guests are expected mainly from Hungary, Poland and Israel. So far, 1.1 million passengers have passed through Burgas airport, its director said. /BGNES
